How We Can Renew Your Smile

The enamel protecting your teeth is stronger than any other substance in your body – even your bones. Unfortunately, it’s far from indestructible; chances are that at some point in your life you’ll be dealing with cavities, cracks, and other forms of dental damage. Since enamel can’t heal naturally on its own, you can instead turn to your trusted Family Dental Associates team to make the repairs needed to bring your smile back to excellent health. Call today to set up a consultation.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

After removing the bacteria that’s causing tooth decay, we can repair any cavities that have formed with a tooth-colored filling. While traditional fillings are made out of metal amalgam, tooth-colored fillings consist of a more flexible, natural-looking composite resin that can be shaded to match the color of any tooth. These restorations are both more attractive and more conservative than traditional metal ones.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown covers the entire tooth, protecting it from damage and strengthening it so that you can bite and chew safely and comfortably. We may recommend a crown for any damage that’s too extensive for a filling. While we still offer reliable gold crowns, we also have many natural-looking materials to choose from, including zirconia, porcelain, and porcelain-fused-to-metal. We’ll help you choose the right kind of crown for your one-of-a-kind smile.

Root Canal Therapy

The term “root canal therapy” tends to fill a lot of patients with fear, but it’s actually nothing to be scared of. It’s used to treat teeth that are suffering from an infected pulp. In fact, one of its main purposes is actually to stop the pain caused by the infection. Once the diseased tissue (the pulp) has been removed, the tooth will be restored with a crown.

Tooth Extractions

We will always explore every available option for saving a tooth before we recommend an extraction. Sometimes, we might not have any choice but to remove a tooth, such as when there’s trauma that’s so severe that we can no longer place a dental crown. We’ll take every step to ensure that you’re comfortable, and we can fill in the space with a dental implant, bridge, or denture later.
